  1. I think K has become an attention whore and isn’t getting her fix since the last book came out. THere is nothing wrong with anyone being gay but she just made sure parents are going to be more cautious of any future books.

  2. It’s a bit of a stretch to conclude that every single one of those you named was a homosexual. Considering that to the Greeks and Romans having a sexual relationship with a young male was what you were supposed to do even if you didn’t want to do it. We don’t consider every male in prison a homosexual so we shouldn’t conclude that Roman and Greek leaders were homosexual for doing what the culture said to do.

  3. From reading the transcripts of the conversation where Ms Rowling said the Dumbledore was gay, I think people are making way too much of it. To me, it sounded like a throw-away answer. The child asked about Dumbledore having found true love or something like that, and Ms Rowling said that Dumbledore was gay. So? And? She created him, she created the backstory of every character. She considered him gay. Who cares if he found true love with a witch or wizard? Doesn’t change the fact that the story is amazing, and absolutely brought reading back to being cool.

  4. Faaabulous post!

All of these wingnut fanatics yammering that HP books should be banned in schools (most noteably some idiot woman and mother from GA) should have their front teeth kicked in. I’ll vote for the banning of HP books in schools as soon as schools ban such fairy tales and idiocy as the Bible and any story relating to the fictional character Jesus. After all, if he was so well-known, why is it nothing exists as proof? Not a signed chair or bench or plate or book…nothing.

    (steps off soapbox)…
